The Sioux Falls Craft Beer Expo is coming to the Sioux Falls Convention Center November 8 from 2-6 pm. The top notch event will be a good chance to try different beers from over 40 breweries, hear good music, try the best hotdog from Minnesota, enjoy educational seminars and contribute to leukemia research.
Beer fans will recognize their favorite breweries such as Boulevard and Odell. New breweries to our area such as Core Brewing and Fargo Brewing will sample their beers. Look for South Dakota breweries Crow Peak, Sick N Twisted, Wooden Legs and Miner too. One of Minnesota’s best, Surly Brewing, will also be there.
Some unique beers will be available to try. There will even be new Great American Beer Festival gold medal winner West O Beer with their CocO Stout.
Natedogs will be available with their best in MN “dog”. Other foods will be available at concession stands.
Educational seminars on beer/cheese pairing by Cheese World, intro to home brewing by Taylor’s (Good Spirits), grain milling by the RMS Roller-Grinder Company, and a brewers panel will take place throughout the afternoon.
Leukemia research will be supported with part of every ticket purchased. See the Jorgen Yde Foundation website for more information.
The Chop Liver Company is organizing the event. This Minnesota based company is known for organizing top notch events. Mark Opdahl and Juno Choi run the company. They both have extensive industry experience. Other craft beer festivals run by the company include the St. Paul Summer Beer Fest, Rochester Craft Beer Expo, Mankato Craft Beer Expo and Northern Lights Rare Beer Fest. A complete program will be available at the festival website November 3.
