The Sierra Nevada Brewing Company is located in Chico, CA. It is one of the larger craft beer breweries and is well known for their Pale Ale and good line of beers (Bigfoot, Torpedo, Celebration, Harvest etc.). Flipside Red IPA is their new seasonal release. It is a nice choice when looking for something different in the popular IPA style. Check out Ashley Routson’s article on different IPA styles to learn more.

The beers poured out dark amber with a generous light tan head into a pint glass.
The aroma and taste were a pleasant mixture of tropical fruit, grapefruit, floral notes, dank hops (hints of Surly Furious) and spice.
The mouthfeel was medium.
The overall experience was very good and worth seeking out. I will look for more. Be sure to check Flipside out if you enjoy IPAs!
