The recipe includes pale malt, malted rye and roasted wheat along with Simcoe, Bravo, Amarillo and Citra hops.
The aroma is roasty/malty with citrus & piney hops. Some rye comes forward as the beer warms.
The color is deep brown with variable tan head (see my image above).
The taste is nice with a roasty, malty backbone balanced with a good hop presence. Rye isn’t prominent, as in Sierra Nevada’s Ruthless Rye, but emerges as the beer warms.
Opinion – Great beer! I’m glad it is listed as a seasonal release.
