Lord Admiral Nelson
I decided to crack open this beer to celebrate my birthday and I’m glad I did! It is 3floyds Lord Admiral Nelson Strong Bitter Ale. It poured out with a two finger head and was dark gold/light amber in color. There was a medium citrus aroma. The flavor was delicious – a mixture of citrus and piney hops. The hops were prominent but not overpowering. The malt came through after the initial hop taste and provided a nice balance. The lacing on the pint glass was nice. Luckily I have one more of these beauties to enjoy!
