Beer Review – Odell Red Ale

Odell Red

The Odell Brewing Company of Ft. Collins, Colorado recently released Red Ale which is their spring seasonal.  I bought a six pack at the Brookings Liquor Store for $8.99.

The beer poured out amber into a pint glass.  It had a citrus/piney aroma and taste.  The beer was nicely balanced between the hops and malt.  The glass had good lacing on it.

ABV = 6.5%

IBUs = 50

I liked this beer and will buy it again.  It is another good American style red such as Grand Teton’s Pursuit of Hoppiness and Oskar Blues’ Gordon.  I think this beer could be paired with many foods including grilled meats, chicken, salmon, pizza and pasta.

Grade = A-
