The Bank Brewing Company, Hendricks, MN, is nearing opening. The old Creamery is their home. This historical building on the south end of Main Street is the centerpiece of this lake town. The tasting room will be on the north side of the same block in the old Bank building.
The brew house will use a new 15 barrel system built by the CGET Company in China. The initial goal will be to brew 750 barrels the first year of operation. Brewmaster Richard Drawdy said the initial brews will include mostly ales including session IPAs, a west coast IPA, seasonals like a Berliner Weisse, a witbier, oatmeal stout, black IPA and a Russian imperial stout. Some barrel aged brews will also be added as the year progresses. Distribution will be in Minnesota and South Dakota initially. The schedule calls for brewing to start in April with beers starting to be ready in May. Kegs will be the initial source of beer going to area bars and liquor stores, but 750 ml bombers will be available in the taproom to take home. Pints will be available for consumption at the taproom along with brewery merchandise. Jason Markkula is the brewery owner. Good luck Bank Brewing!
